Many digital cameras name the saved files either with a code that identifies the camera manufacturer, eg. DSCF_<number> where the F denotes Fuji, an N for Nikon and so on.  The <number> is an incremental number unique for each photograph.  Other cameras, such as some of the Canons use Photo<number> and others use img<number>.  They’re all good naming system and each have their pros and cons.

The items below may not have numbering systems but we like them any way:
